Not quite as bad as some of the things mentioned above, but everyday I'm at school, I walk past the ever elusive Mustang GT-R. It must be that extremely rare model that Nissan and Ford collaborated on. :)

Accord Type R was launched in 1999 in Europe and was never marketed in Japan. Instead, Accord Euro R was launched in Japan in 2000. Its engine is similar to that of Accord Type R (220 horses).
For information, Accord will undergo a full model change this year.

I would Imagine that some people have Type R decals because their car has type R parts. Type R is not just a special designation for Vehicle types it is also a brand of aftermarket parts. Say the Guy has a Type R Shifter, a Type R Exhaust, and a Type R Intake, is he wrong for putting on a Type R decal?

I suppose we would be just as laughable and/or guilty for putting a TRD decal on our car? I have a TRD exhaust system, I have a TRD Decal on my car. Am I faking? Do I own a "TRD Celica"? are the guys who own TRD Tacoma's laughing at us for having a TRD Badge on our car?

I realize there are some fakers. and that would meet the definition of "rice". But people with "R" parts I would guess have the right to display that.

The red "R" we once associated with IT-R or GS-R etc, is used in many aftermarket products such as Type R, Weapon R, R-1, Tenzo R has more or less come into the mean of "Racing" parts. Maybe it was originally designed for something else, but this is the way the aftermarket industry has now designated thier parts.

BTW, no I dont have a Type R decal on my car, or even know anyone that does that I'm sticking up for. I'm just adding an objective opinion. (which seem to be rare nowadays).

It depends on what the logo looks like. The Honda Type R logo is very distinctive. Attempts to imitate it are pitiful. Even if you have all the Type R parts on your car, you still don't have a Type R. The chassis on a real Type R is different. Bolt ons don't get that...
