you try unscrewing it, then after it's unthreading it, keep unscrewing till it jumps past the end of the threads, then tighten... i have to do that for my trd gas cap if i want the trd upright

once unscrewed, if you keep unscrewing, it will click and then tighten

I have the same problem. TRD just didn't put enough thought into the design. The threads always start at the same spot so you won't be able to get the logo aligned straight. The only thing I have though of but have not tried yet would be to replace the thick o-ring with a smaller one so the oil cap will thread on further. You have to make sure that the new o-ring still seals enough that there is no leakage.

doesn't the oil cap click click just like a gas cap? Then you can click it until the trd symbol is upright.

when you buy the oil cap new the TRD sticker is not secured. its just taped down. that way, you install the cap and then stick the TRD sticker on. That way its facing up. If you got one thats already been sticked. you are hosed. try using a hair dryer to loosen up the glue and re apply the sticker upright

put the cap on with the logo facing you, and pound it a few times with a rubber mallet.

I guess you bought the "FAKE" TRD oil cap, the real one's sticker is secured. Show me the one you got and I can tell if it is real or fake

When I bought this one:
http://www.wctoyotasport.com/Parts/00602-12108-001.htm
The sticker was not yet secured as this could cause this exact problem
i.e. The thread seems to be different for the GT and the GT-S as this Oil Cap sticker is positioned differently on my Sis

Do you have a transparent hood (http://www.import-performance-parts.com/custom_fit_transparent_hoods.html) that it matters if the logo is upside down or not when the hood is down? Not to sound like a smart ass but what does it matter if the logo is upside down if the hood is down and it cannot be seen.
If you're at a show with the hood open, just untighten til the logo is right-side up. Can anyone tell me how to get the GE symbol on my light bulb horizontal? :crazy2:

Your obviously not a perfectionist and don't pay much attention to detail!
I hope you didn't attempt to screw in that light bulb all by yourself!

Perfectionist ... you obviously haven't seen my car. And yes ... I do have the TRD oil cap and it's not perfectly horizontal as well but I care more about my TRD gas cap being horizontal because you can see it through the clear gas door lid. I don't see anyone looking through my hood scoop wondering if my oil cap is perfectly straight.
