Help with deck

I just recieved my new deck Kenwood kdc-x817 w/d-mask.
The problem is the install kit that I have it. Apprently the H.U.
opening is too small the deck to fit. Any suggests about
how it installs or do I have cut the install kit. I want the radio
to flush not 1/4" back it just looks stupid. Any info would help.

Hey wassup, I had the same problem with my kdc-x717. YOu got the metra kit? If so, go get the "american industries" one. Metra kit is too small, but the american one fits flush. I ordered mines from crutchfield. Hope this solves your problem.

My stereo had a little bezzel that just popped off so it could fit in the smaller hole. It is just a little trim piece around the face of the stereo.

Hey CeLiCa do you have any pics of your install if so that would be
prefect. And does anyone else carry that kit other than Cructhfield I got the day off tomorrow and I don't want to wait.
And brothermaynard thanks but I took off the trim piece and still
