I've heard in Autoweek and the Janurary issue of European Car that the 2ZZ-GE powered Elise uses the c64 tranny. Isn't the GT-S tranny code C60? If so what is this new C64 tranny, or does it already exist? Does it have new ratios?

i think its a typo...
i read that it would use the same engine and the same 6sp tranny (c60)

C&D repeats the C64 designation.

They gave it better ratios... No need for power fc there.

No changes to the engine or transmission. They do however use their own K4 ECU (based on an EFi unit).

My understanding is that the C64 is the Euro 6 speed, that transmission is a GT transmission with an extra overdrive, nothing special, not even the closer ratio's of the GTS. Hopefully it is a misprint.

in ssc magazine they have the ratio's of the new Elise Lotus:
1gear : 3.116:1
2gear : 2.050:1
3gear : 1.481:1
4gear : 1.166:1
5gear : 0.916:1
6gear : 0.815:1
final drive: 4.529:1
