My friend drives my Celica (he owns a Subaru Impreza WRX NB) and says he feels some 'pressure'. Not from the driving but he says he feels like sitting on board an airplane. But with all the windows open the 'pressure' will be gone.

I don't feel that pressure, but do you guys do ??

Put the switch for outside air intake to recirculation. It's located with your A/C, Heater controls. L8r

The 'pressure' has something to do with air circulation ? I thought it's because of the acoustic design in the interior.

This only happenes when the car is moving, mostly on the freeway. Appearantly the ducting that brings in fresh air is pressurized, sort of like a "ram air" setup. This causes a positive pressure in the cabin when the windows are up and the sunroof closed. I usually just crack the sunroof, or switch the air to recirculate.

Heh, I was racing this Mustang a while back, and I had the moonroof open just a little bit. When we got to 90, my friend's ears started to pop! :D

Is this phenomenon common ? Or it happens in Celica only ? I've driven few vehicles of different brands and haven't experienced that before.
Toyota should do something.

The "drivers cabin" is so well sealed on our Celis, that with the outside air intake open, it boosts the air pressure inside the car. Just tell your friend your cars "got boost". L8r
