How much do you think the dealer will trade a gt for a gts 2000. The gt has 35000 miles on it. Thanks.

try to sell it to a private party. maybe you will get lucky and have a buyer soon.

otherwise, check the kelly blue book value, and subtract a couple grand, and there you have it.

I was thinking about selling my GT for a GTS 6-spd.

The Toyota Precision Dealership told me that they don't get a lot of people who trade in their celicas, or sell their celica to the dealership, so they will pay high if I trade them mine.

Talk to your dealership and see if they have that same problem.. For some reason in Tucson, people buy the celicas, and love them so much that they just don't ever want to get rid of them. Crazy huh.

Anyways.. I want a dark colors GTS (ie. black or carbon blue).. but finding those colors in Tucson, Arizona, is impossible.. because who wants a dark colored car in the dry heat of the Arizona dessert.

My advice would be to try to sell your GT privately.. you'll get more, especially if you sell it to a teenager.

No matter what sell it privately cuz you will get more $$$ that way.. either way, though, you're going to get screwed.. I know cuz I did the same thing except I sold my 8 month old GT privately and then bought a used Prelude Type SH (which I love :D ) .. but I still ended up down $3,000 even after I sold my GT for $17,000  Keep in mind, though, that I was leasing my car, and if you try to end a lease early the Satanic Gods of Car Leasing will reign their horrible punishment down upon you.

So make sure it's something you really wanna do... :)
