I have been toying with the idea of P&Ping intake manifold. I have a few resourceful friends that could potentially help me. It seems like a relatively simple project. Plus the intake manifold is right in the front so taking it off probably wouldn't be too difficult. I thought I'd touch base with this forum as well.

What would be the preferred method for P&Ping? Dremel? Sandpaper? What is this polish exactly and where would one purchase it? A brief explanation of how it is applied would be appreciated too.

You are refering to the intake on your Celica GT right? The '00 listed in your signature? The intake runners on the current GT are ceramic(don't quote me, I could be wrong). That's why Toyota covered them with plastic, so it wouldn't look ugly. I'm pretty sure you can't polish ceramic to any effect, it's pretty smooth to begin with.

Anyway, to answer your question on polishing, I know that Summit Racing sells a polishing kit that contians grinding and polishing heads for rotory tools. If I were to polish something, I'd use an air powered rotory tool with an extended flexible neck. The air will blow the dust away from the work area, and keep the tool cool. Dremels become almost too hot to touch when used for an extended length of time.
