single 12" sub.. gonna mount amp on it too.. normal material.. how much should i be charged? whats a good price? of course free but no such thing as a free lunch.. lol

What are you smoking that would be a great price but realistically probably around 80 - 120 depending on the design of the box and such

if you're lookin for really nice prefab boxes at very decent prices go to speakerhole.com (http://www.speakerhole.com)

a 12" 1.0 cu ft box made of 3/4" MDF is only $26.60 plus a few more bucks for shipping...

i got a dual 10" box from them for less than $50 and they're built very solid

Damn I paid 180 for mine 2 10's Custom enclosure with JL ingraved in the middle of the box its cool but it looks like I paid too much

is it necessary to have one? altho i can't imagine where i would put the speaker lol .. nevermind.. stupid question.. anyways the sub itself needs to be sealed for good sound

They do make free air subs but they suck you don't see them very much for good sounds you do need some type of enclosure

i just made my own it is not to hard to make one yourself as long as all you want is a nice cube or rectangle. 20 bucks for a sheet of mdf and a couple bucks for a pound of screws at the lumber yard.

it does not leak air , it was really cheap and exactly the size i wanted.
