New Action Package for 04?

A member on ecelica.com said he was at a photoshoot for the new celica brochure and the 04 celica has a new action package. It consists of a new more mild body kit, different spoiler, raised hood scoop, and headlight trim painted to match the car. Has anyone heard of this? I thought 04's were already at the dealership with the regular action package. Here is a pic that he posted but they were told not to take a pic of it.

I spoke with the marketing company in charge of the putting together the brochure. It actually will not be called the Tsunami edition or any kind of edition for that matter. It will be the replacement to the current Action Package that is available on the 02-03.

But since he lives in canada it could be called tsunami edition since they currently have a panasonic edition celica there.

it is not replacing the '04 action package. i test drove an 04 with the action package on it and it looked exactly the same.

Well then considere it a 2004.5 cause it will happen on the 04 model.

Marketing. Celica sales are way down and they need something to bring up sales. They don't care if it is mid-stream or not. All they care about is numbers. Besides this is all what I was told by great sources.

Its possible cuz my car has the action package that was supposed to be available for only 02-03's. my car is a late model '01. any action packaged 01's were all late model after June of 2001. so maybe you were driving one of the last 03's that theyre trying to sell as 04's.

but im glad to hear theyre finally gonna be some changes. maybe these bogger foglights will fit my AP so I can have some genuine parts in there.

Maybe I am missing something, but isn't that yellow Celica in the background what he is referring to? If that is the case, it does in fact look like some cosmetic changes were made.

The Sports-M has a slightly raised hoodscoop, a small Molly-like wing, and a very subtle add on bodykit, even less noticeable than the TRD Elegant kit. I dont like it the previous Action Package kit is hard to beat as far as looks go! This kit will not help Celica sales LOL the only thing that will help a Celicain today's market is more power!!!!!!!!!!!!!
