Thats such a cool car, but its a shame that Fords best effort this year was to release a 40 year old car. Do they have any creativity left? :)

they needed a name to sell a supercar with..the GT-40 just plain fits that role better tha any other previous monkier Ford had. You can't sell a mustang at the viper or corvette price points..it needs to be something that has heavy weight behidn it..a la the GT-40.

yeah thats true I guess, but looking at the market here in the UK, there hasnt been much since the Focus (dont laugh) for innovation from them. Maybe if and when they release the 300hp 4x4 Cosworth Focus I'll change my mind :)

Isnt that just a remake of a Ferrari? Anyways, I'd never pay that damn much for a Ford. I'd rather take my bank to the Porsche dealership.

I am a die hard Toyota man. Ive only owned two cars in my life and they are both celicas. I will eventually own a 911 TT, however i think that the GT40 is one of the most beautiful cars ive seen in a long time. Ford is going to hit one out of the park with this one. Mustang die hards and long time blue oval freaks will cream all over this car. Makes me think of dan gurney and AJ Foyt, and how they made the original car work like a fine tuned dancer. I cant wait to see this car on the road or in the show scene.

sh1t I would pay a 100k for it!!! Hell yeah! That car is badass, I like the retro body styling too!! It doesn't look too much like something that the future puked up

NOPE! Actually it's a copy of the car that kicked Ferrari's ass ALL over the track back when the origional GT-40 came out ;).

Well sometimes ya just gotta go with what works and not F with it too much...That car was done right the first time, it will be neat to see what 40 years of technology will do for an allready sweet design... Too bad it will be over 40" tho...
