Ok, I think I've made up my mind. I have a Kicker Competition 12" sub right now, but it requires 1.4-1.75 cub ft in a sealed box. I am pretty sure I'm gonna go to a 10", with about .8 cub ft volume. What I'm looking for is something to add some tight bass to my setup. Not looking to cruise down MLK dr shattering people's windows.. :)

What is everyone's opinions on the cheaper 10" subs? ie Sony X-Plod XS-L1035, MTX-6104, Kenwood KFCW2503?? These are all 10's in the $50-60 range (Circuit City as a reference).

I had 3 MTX 6000 series 10's in my old CRX and they sounded good for the money. A little muddy at times but that might have been the MTX box they came in.

Dan don't use Circuit city they suck, I have heard to many horror stories about how they drilled into peoples gas tanks etc.. Unless you are going to do the install your self then no probs. Personally I like my JL's but they were 99 each at Hifi Buys, I haven't priced subs in a while but I am sure that you could find some rockfords or MTX's in that price range You may want to look at crutchfield they have really good prices on subs,

Well I ended up picking up the Kenwood KFCW2503's. $130 for 2 10's. I'm gonna do the install myself, I'm not a very trusting person when it comes to audio installs. The fun part is gonna be splicing the signal wires to get the signal to the amp. Wish the stock deck had preamp outs.. :)
