To be honest, if I were to have a moonroof installed on a vehicle that didn`t already have a factory one already installed, the dealer is the last place I would consider.
Why?
How much experience in this kid of work would the aveage dealer have? Probably little to none at all!
I would take to some place that specializes in installing after market sun/moon roofs and has plenty of experience.

Most likely a couple thousand, plus it would weaken the roof. I wouldn't do it, it's definately not worth it.

I agree with Calsoldier
Aftermarket Sun/Moon roofs are known for long-term problems
i.e. leaking problems being a major one.
Imagine it raining and suddenly seeing drops of water slowly dripping down into your cabin...seen this before on a Blazer
There are other issues that can/will require your attention other than the aforementioned
In my opinion, I

if you really want a sunroof it would probably be easier to save your money, sell your car and buy one with one equipped maybe a gts

My friend got on installed in his Talon about 2 years ago, he paid $1000cdn even. So far, no problem what so ever. The shop also reinforced the roof structure, and I think overall is only like 30lbs (glass, motor, rails and some other metal to reinforce) heavier than without a sun roof.

I believe its D & D Customs. They charge $800 plus tax and takes about a day.

:werd: There are several shops that do it, just check the phone book. It will be a lot cheaper than having toyota do it. Just get a popup.

Actually I used to sell cars and throw sunroof's in deals all the time. It will cost between 700 and 1500 depending on where u go. And Alot of aftermarket companys offer lifetime warranties on the sunroof for leaking and problems like that so just shop around.
