Props on the Celica today!

I was at the bodyshop at Marietta Toyota today. I was there to get them to look at the paint on my front bumper. It looks like it has hundreds of rock chips in the paint except that it's actually under the clearcoat. So I'm sitting in the reception room waiting for someone to look at my car and there's two women (20's)sitting in chairs by the windows. One looks out the window, see's my car and says to the other, Look! Is that one of the new celica's? (Keep in mind that they didn't know it was my car) The other woman turns and say's I think so. They then critiqued the whole car. They thought that the front looked kinda like a mustang (?) They loved the styling, the headlights, color, wheels, everything. Then one of them got up and told the other woman that she was going to look at it. I couldn't see her from where I was sitting but she came back in a few minutes later and said that it looked like the Bat Mobile on the inside, that it was really cool. She didn't like my spoiler though. The whole time, I just kept reading my magazine smiling to myself. It was really funny to sit there and listen to them talking about my car and not know it was mine.
BTW, they are going to repaint my bumper. The bodyshop mgr had one of the bodymen come out and actually wetsand and buff a spot on my bumper to see if the spots went away. They didn't and he agreed that the paint was bad and agreed that they should repaint it under warranty.

Don't you just love Marrieta Toyota, Last time I was up their A girl was their looking at cars with I think her mother and she looked over at my car and said I want that one. By the way thats awesome that they are repainting your front I need to bring my car up their because it looks like carp a lot of rock chips in the paint more then their should be I just hope that if they repaint it they will put the decals back on since they did come with the car

One time i pulled up to mcdonalds next to a corolla that had a mom and 2 kids in it . The kid in the back seat was staring and my car and when they parked he ran out and ran up to the front of my car shouting "MOM IT IS A COROLLA! LOOK IT HAS THE SAME PICTURE ON THE FRONT" (the toyota emblem i'm guessing). His mom was like "Uh tommy, that is NOT a corolla!" but he refusd to change his mind. I guess that's a different kind of attention than you got, Coolwheels. :P

Hey Mark, yeah, he was pretty cool about the bumper. The only thing with mine is that it doesn't really have "chips" in the paint. It's more like the paint got overspray in it before they added the clearcoat so it's speckled looking in the sun. I dunno, but I'm happy that they are going to repaint it. I'm going to be getting my hoodscoop in about two weeks so I'm going to make my appointment for then and see if they'll just paint it for me out of niceness. Couldn't hurt to try. :)

No Doubt I would definitly try if you can talk well enough you may get them to think that was part of what they agreed on anyway, Last week I got a free oil change out of them, It helps to always go to the same tech when you pull in though, I think I will try bring my car in and see what they say about the chips in my paint as you said "Couldn't hurt to try"
