Supplies
1. You need to get a bucket that can hold some water,
2. Get a Sponge not a real sponge like the live fish but the one sold as a sponge to wash cars,
3. Car Wash Soap (DO NOT use dish detergent will mess up your paint) A good car wash soap that I use is made by Meguairs
4. Hose
5. Nozzle for your Hose
6. Some type of Shami to dry the car, The Absorber is a good one, or you can get the California water blade it works real well I only use it on my Windows but it can also be used on the whole car it is really quick

Now you are ready to wash
1. Take your bucket pour a small amount of car wash soap in the bucket about an Oz.
2. attach hose to water spicket
3. Attach Nozzle to Hose
4. Turn Water on
5. fill bucket with water
6. Stick sponge in the bucket filled with soap and water
7. spray your car down with water making sure you get all the loose crap off of it before you use the sponge
8. Grab the sponge and wash in a circular motion a section of the car at a time, Make sure that when you finish each section you spray it down with water getting all the soap off of it, I use this order
a. roof, front and rear windshields
b. Hood and front end
c. Passenger side,
d. Hatch and rear
e. driver side
after completing all of that I will wash my rims getting all the brake dust off,
9. Make sure all the soap is off the car and spray it down again
10. Grab your shami and dry the car make sure you wring it out often so you are actually drying the car and not just moving the water
Hope this helps

I have been told not to use a sponge by many people. They say that it will cause swirl marks because it cannot remove the dirt properly and will drag it across the surface. They suggest a wash mitt instead.

Please DO NOT let a sponge ever touch your paint. A sponge doesn't have place for dirt particles to go. The only place you should use a sponge is for the dirty places like wheels, exhaust tip, wheel well, etc.

Here are some of the stuff you need:
100% sheepskin wash mitt ( $5 at Walmart)
Car specific soap, I use Turtle Wax soap since I feel that soap is all the same, but you can get Meguiar if you want
Royal Velvet Towels or Canon towels, get some from Bed, Bath and Beyond and cut the edges
California Water Blade

Now when it comes to waxing, you will have to read the instructions for the type you are going to use. The top brand is Zainos, but Meguiar's isn't too shabby either plus it's more convient to get. An important tip is to never contaminant the stuff you are going to use to clean your car ie laying a wash mitt on the ground before using it. This is the main cause of cars with so many swirls on it. A dirt particle clings on to the wash mitt and as you are moving that sucker around, the dirt particle is scrathing the hell out of your paint job.

Email me at tuan311@hotmail.com and I'll forward you a guide on how to wash your car. It's written by Dennis Fraser. You can find him on club rsx. His SN is Homer2 and this guy reallys know his stuff when it comes to car care.

Sorry about that I did mean to put in the bit about the washmit instead of the sponge, I only use a sponge on the wheels, Wheel wells, exhaust tip, and a washmit for the body of the car, My bad

Definately get the California Water Blade. I can dry my car in like 3 minutes with it and a small towel for any missed spots
