Okay I was able to install my intake today and beside the rain i love every second of it.
I have one problem. the splash card keeps hitting something, like back and fourth motion when i take off and i can feel and hear it.
Does anyone else have this problem, or did i install it wrong?
Thanks:confused:

I had a problem like that but it was the pipe. When I drove the pipe rubbed against the metal part that the pipe goes through into the bumper. You can adjust it if this is your problem. Maybe you need to cut more plastic off or just unbolt it and nudge it a little. Your guard shouldn't hit anything.

dont cut off too much engine plastic! i had to put some of it back because the pipe was rubing against metal. my splashguard was hitting up against the horn for the alarm. toyota installed an aftermarket alarm on mine and they put a horn where the splashguard goes. if thats your problem, relocate your horn. if you can feel it then its prolly the pipe

Well i found out that it is the metal hitting the intake tube
I ghetto rigged it and put an old sock in between the tube and metal piece and walaa no more noise. I will readjust it, it was a temp. solution and i couldnt stand the noise...
hee..i did the same thing with a rag :)
