Are the low beams in an 03 celica switch negatively? i talked to a guy who said that he was SURE it was (he worked at an automotive electronics shop)

i assume that switched negatively means that the switch for the low beams is on the ground side of the bulb. and therefore there is + at the bulb all of the time.

now, i went home and took my test light, and according to what he said, the bulb should have + all of the time. lights on or off. so if i ground on side of the light, and touch it other to the low beam plug, the light should come on right? well, it didn't. but it did after i tured the switch on. this leads me to believe that the headlights are switch on the positive side of the bulb.

can anyone tell me if they know for sure that the low beams are switched +'vely, or not???

The low beams are switched, using a relay that breaks the battery side of the lamp. The negative side is always grounded.

The high beams are another matter. The high beams are used for the DRL, running them in series, for
