HELP, got a cout date for racing

ok guys i was out with a few friends and we were messing around. my one friend in his done up eclipse pulled out in front of me we hit it through first i hit second and let off. next thing i know there are 2 cops behind us. so to the point i got a court date the 26th for racing on a highway and was wondering if anyone knows someone or has gone through the experience. i really dont no what i should do. if i should get a lawyer or not. i really dont have a ton of cash to spend.

Also please i know street racing is bad and i dont need another lecture.

If anyone could offer any helpful advice it would be greatly appreciated, chris

personally, i have no experience with this, but i know there are a couple of threads on the topic, so i'm sure you can find help if you do a search

do not take this lightly. you need to get a lawyer. i had somthin like this happen to me while back and i ended up owing about 1k in lawyer/court fees but i got out without a criminal record. i wish you luck becuase you are goin to need it.

yea you gotta get a lawyer..thats the best way otherwise u can end up with probation...a lawyer can reduce the infraction to a misdemeanor which eventually u can get sealed....blah blah blah get a lawyer

been through it, my advice get a lawyer, then be ready for court cost also
