Hey guys
I recently purchased this TRD shift knob used and noticed the aluminum part was fading and i could see the brass color more and more.
My question is - is there a way to paint it, powdercoat it, something? Obviously its gotta be a fix that stays for a while and doesnt rub off when i shift.
Here's a picture- i'd appreciate any help on this.

Nothing you can do. It is a low quality metal with a plating over the top. It has worn off. You shouldn't have bought that shift knob.

You can

A) Paint it (maybe to match car body color)
B) Powder Coat it (Most durable because powder coating is so thick, but you may loose details etched in the back)
C) Replate it (Maybe chrome?)
