The dealer has a 2003 Black GT on the lot. The sticker is $21,782.
It has special 15 in spoke wheels(?), power windows and doors, cruise, rear spoiler, fog lights (no moon roof).
He's going to take $1,700 off of the 2003 price. This does not sound reasonable to me.
Can someone help?

Ask for the invoice of the car that they are selling. Verify that the invoice matches the VIN number on the car because they sometimes the salemen will be shady and show you a higher priced invoice of another model.
Just tell them you are only willing to pay $500 over invoice and nothing more.

Those wheels are standard on the GT I belive......The Gt that I had and the one my husband currently owns both ahd them. But that price does sound like a bit much. We got out the door with a fully loaded GT with extras and only paid 20,100 for it....

way too high, you can get a 2003 gts non-action package with leather seats and 16" for 21k at Huntingon Beach Toyota, CA. Sticker price is 25k. It's a silver one. It was there last week, I was going to trade in my 02' gt for it, but didn't have enough at the time.

when you trade in a car and it has 'extras' ( wheels or stuff not originally equiped) on the car, the dealer will not consider that into the price. i had a 1992 MR2 that was in a few mags and won a ton of shows. i had danm near 20K in extras. when i was looking for a celica, I jikongly told them i was using it for trade in.. they told me since it was in prestine shape thed give me 100% book value... just for the 1992 mr2.....4000.....tell them you'll go close to book value on the car. they wouldn't give youy anything for the rims.. so don't give them any. Also by law they have to give you the previous owners info. Cxall them up and see why they got rid of it and for how much.
