It's not considered a option, it's a Dealer installed accessory. It is real Carbon Fibre, which is why they retail for around $800.00. There are also many aftermarket dash kits available through some of newcelica.org sponsors, some of which offer them at a discount. You also might find a Group Purchase going on for the dash kits that can save you some $$$ as well. L8r

$800?????? Where did you hear that? Go to the sites sponsers, the kit is around $220, still steep for what you get. Check out www.alkaplus.com www.exoticwooddash.com www.edashkit.com for some cheaper aftermarket ones. The aftermarket ones also have more pieces to cover more of your dash than the Toyota one. Some of those aftermarket places claim that their kits are real carbon fiber as well.

This guy has pics of his dash kit from Alka-Plus.
They look kinda quirky if you ask me, at least this one does. The picture from Toyota of their kit is of horrible quality, so I have nothing to compare.

When I said they retail for around $800.00, that was the price the Toyota dealers charge for them. Obviously, there are many who will sell them at a discount. There are also many other aftermarket versions of various quality. Some are real Carbon Fibre, others are just cheap imitations. Some of the dash kits sold on Ebay for example are just junk, so be aware.

Most of them use a self adhesive backing. They're easy to install, just be careful to test each piece to see how they fit.
