getting CAI = really really NICE.
The first real mod I got was the CAI. For 200 bucks, it gives really good sound and the power. However saving up about a little more than 200 will get you an exhaust which gives you the show and go (same power as CAI). If you do go for it, definitely go with the Injen (more top-end). Since you live in Texas, you should have no problem with water. Oh yea, with the 200 bucks you using for the hood spoilers, I would really instead go with a CAI. Same price, but it gives you more hp and sound.

Now I'm thinkin about it, cuz with only a couple hundred dollars more, I could get the TRD exhaust. And that'll really give me some sound and boost. You a lucky guy, able to purchase both the hood spoilers and intake. Well, you will really like the intake exhaust combo. Next up if you still have money can be the Hot Shots headers which is about 400. But I heard that gives about 8 more hp and a deeper sound. Also not to mention, the AEM underdrive pully that is only 75 bucks retail, can also give you some more hp. Well good luck.

Get a header and a pulley :) Those two are the most dyno proven parts I have seen out there for the GT.
I love my CAI and it's relatively cheap. The sound is awesome and the pull is there throughout the powerband even though some dynos have only shown 1 max whp gain. Though you have to remember a CAI helps a lot when you have mods like the exhaust and header. It all works together to increase air flow.
