Looks a little bit like an IS300 from the front, with an agressive body kit. Too bad they don't have a powerful version of that car.

damn pretty sick. No wonder they were thinking about replacing the celica with scion. It's pretty clear now.

please do clear it for me, I am having trouble understanding it...
No doubt tC is a great car, but it is not what Celica is... it is 400 lb heavier and has 20 hp less than Celica, which has more than 34 yrs of history... why would the worlds richest car maker discountinue Celica?
please enlighten me, I might have not enough knowledge in the area...
:bang:
p.s. for those who do not know, tC will come with factory SC, making around 200 hp (at crank)

i wonder if the tC with the a optional SC will be under $20k. now that would definately be worth it.

you should really come to OT EAYOR with your high and mighty attitude. nobody's paying you bro. so certainly noone is paying you to be an asshole.
If you have no way of correcting or educating someone without coming across as one, then keep your mouth shut.
and how do you figure 200 crank hp is 20 hp less than the Celica makes, btw?

and like has been pointed out, w/ the Supercharger, the car should be a whole lot more fun...

hmmm for my next car ( in a few years) I was considering Nissan since the 4 door toyotas do nothing for me, same with the solara. That car would be a nice replacement, might make me want to stay with toyota after my celica.

The car stock is supposed to make 160 hp, so in that sense it is 20 less than the GT-S, or 20 more than the GT. I think that the decision was more to help promote the Scion brand, and although this specific car might not be as nice as the Celica, it makes Scion look alot more like a young guy's company.
I saw it at the show too, it actually looks really nice, although not exciting. The front headlights especially scream 5-series. (At least in person).

If the non-SC'ed model runs for around $18 K, then the SC'ed version will probably go for about $21 K. Still a pretty good deal. Definitely the best car Scion has come out with, by far. Not as eye-catching as the Celi, but still very nice.

I like it. Screw the SC - 2.4 liters and reasonably low compresion is BEGGING for a turbo. It already has decent torque anyways.

:stupid: I don't like the seperate pods for the gauges though. They are way to far apart.

the guages arent thaaat far apart. i think its cause of the angle of the shot. since they are inset so far.

I kind of like the fact that its not a head turner. Personally I dont bringing attention to myself when Im driving a little outside of the law... I want to hear some test drive impressions.

Add me to the list of people who are not at all impressed with it.
It`s seems like just another "cookie cutter" vehicle with no real distiction.
I look at it as think, "yeah, thats kind of nice" but, it doesn`t make me want to take one our for a terst drive and possibly buy one as the Celica did!

I like it a lot. When I finish school this is definately a vehicle I will look at.
The celica looks nice but I want a car that is more mature but not boring.
I think it is a great car at a cheap price (especially for toyota) it is a lot more car for the same price as a std celica gt. It comes standard with so many options and with what would appear to be a nice stereo.
