everything works fine except it doesnt seem like its as bright as it should be

i tapped into the cig lighter, and grounded through cig lighter

LETs say i tapped into the tail-light fuse . . .

1. would it make the guage brighter?
2. would i have to re-route the ground?

thanks

did you try holding down one of the buttons that comes with the gauges? You can adjust the brightness.

yea i only have the regular reverse gauges and not the S7's so I dont know how bright they are supposed to look. I use the wires that go into the back of the gauge cluster. There is a positive 12v on there that works with the light switch and there is a ground there too. I used a test light to grab those wires so i dont know the colors for them off the top of my head but it really isnt necessary for you to have wired it all the way to the cig. lighter adapter. Good luck in getting them brighter. You can always test them directly on the battery to inorder to see the brightness. Also have you tried it with you car started up? Mine are brighter when the car is running.

i did like the directions said and tapped them into the parking light wires and grounded it to the negative terminal on the battery and they are bright enough for me
