TRD Supercharger info for the 00+ GT

Unfortunately there no plans to offer a supercharger for the 00+ Celica GT. Our current supercharger for the Matrix will not work on the Celica because of the hood interference.

I was wondering if TRD is developing a Supercharger kit for the 2000+ celica GT, if so, when? How much and how much horsepower?

One more question, I know there's a supercharger for the Toyota Matrix which has the same motor as the celica...will it fit to the 2000+ celicas?

uhhh...no kidding...i think it's been discussed more then a million times...although it has been done...check other threads. Not worth the cost though.

can someone dig up the thread with the new hood toyota proposed to use w/the supercharger so it fits...i belive there was talk of it fitting under the invader hood too (could be wrong here)

I thought all they needed was a different hood. There were pics posted on here of a TRD Celica with S/C and bulged hood. How could they say "no plans" if all it takes is a hood, and they already made one for themselves?

How hard can it be to put on a hood that has clearance for a supercharger? How much clearance do you need? It sucks that there is not a supercharger out for this car yet.

thats the APR GT-300 bodykit..TRD doesnt have to offer it since APR already does.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm surprized people don't recognize the kit to be the APR GT-300 Aero Kit.

so in theory a trd supercharger for the matrix could be put on to the celica and all i would have to do is change the hood. If i get a supercharger then what other mods are needed?

from what i hear, the TRD supercharger on that Celica was a prototype only and TRD still has no plans of mass-producing the kit.

it was the 1zz supercharger(matrix/corrolla) fitted onto the celica (which btw voids CARB certification)

i didn't recognize it either...

but jeez.. how hard is it for TRD to mass produce the raised hood piece for crissake?!!!? it's so annoying....
