I recently bought a new set of wheels that will require the use of hubcentric rings. Upon receiving my wheels, I noticed that they were generous enough to send me some plastic hubcentric rings, but plastic in general makes me a little uneasy. I mean how safe would plastic be compared to metal hubcentric rings? Is anybody running plastic instead of aluminum? It seems to me that even if the load is balanced throughout then the plastic would eventually get warped out of shape and cause a bad thing to happen. Can somebody please alaborate on this issue? Thank you.

It's not going to make a difference whether it's metal or plastic. Metal's just better because sometimes the ring gets stuck in the wheel or on the hub and when you go to pry it off, the plastic ones crack quite easily.
