goto www.ebay.com and type 2453456731 in the search.

I think the point of the auction is that the Maybach is so hard to get a hold of even if you were willing to pay full price for it. So 400K seems reasonable for someone who wants to get one, can afford one, and wasn't on the waiting list.

isn't the 62 the non driver version? Where your suppose to sit in the back, and your suppose to have a driver (who will enjoy the v12 twin turbie).

From the listing:

"We have been told that this is the only Five Seat Maybach 62 in the United States. This option was included at an upcharge of nearly $20,000."

"Our sources tell us that this is one of seven fully optioned 62 models currently in the USA."

So SEVEN fully optioned, but only FIVE with 5 seats?? That makes no sense. And why this mysterious "source"? Can't believe it...$20k for ONE extra seat. You would think it'd be cheaper without all the extra stuff in between the rear 2 seats.

"At the risk of sounding rude, the car has 300 miles, and is housed in a climate controlled warehouse. An alarm sounds if there is motion within 30 feet of the car. Enough said."

Where would they park this thing when they're out? What place is gonna give a 30-foot radius parking spot to this car? Area within motion sensor range = pi * radius * radius = 2,826 square feet (or equivalent to a square area with sides of 53 feet in length, or about the width of 10 cars parked side by side...wait, that's like ANOTHER Maybach!)

Anyway, just ranting. Pimp car nonetheless :gap:

Yeah... I do see some business person may need this car. Afterall if you are looking to give someone your multi-million/billion dollar business they better look like they can handle the money :) One might be suspicious of a guy who drives up in a Pinto woun't you? :D

I believe for air conditioner to keep the car cool without a key in ignition.

I may be wrong, it may be used to power all those electronic gadgets :D But I have heard that someone makes a solar powered AC for car, but it is too expensive to be practical... If you are spending over $400,000 you are not looking for cost effective :D

I'm sure it powers everything with the car off. It's more than believable especially with a 400,000 price tag like you said.

From what I understand...if you want it, they'll put it in the car for you. That's exactly what a video review of one said. It said that people ask for everything from cigar makers to martini bars, etc.. place in the cars.

It's one of those cars you'd be lucky enough to see, much less sit in. Rich f'gers piss the hell outta me. I wish I was rich. :(

I had my chance to, too bad I'm in the military...I coulda been a millionaire, or at least half of one. :gap:

My dad knows a guy, private driver for some rich **** here in NYC. he gave my dad a chance to sit in one. Customized to 400k.
When u serivce the car, it's like going to a club. you wait for your maybach to be serviced while waiters bring you club sandwiches and cavair. you get you're own huge tv to watch while you wait. they treat you like royalty, and most people who go to get the car serviced are private drivers.
the driver gets payed $1500 a week, and the car is of no expense to him (garage, gas, payments, insurance, NOTHING)
sweet job, if you ask me...
