Just bought some Ground Controls - errr, I think!

Hi there from across the pond :wiggle:

I just bought some Ground Controls for my Celica off ebay. They're second hand, but arrived in an unmarked box and with no documentation, so how can I tell if they are the correct ground controls for my Celica?

The guy said they were for the stock shocks, and all I have is the following serial numbers printed on the springs:

2 * Eibach 51391B - GC180.64.44
2 * Eibach 46325 - GC125.64.75

Can one of you lovely, lovely American people keep the 'special relationship' going by checking your installed GC's to see if it's the same?

Sounds like you received the right part m8. Ground Control coilovers use Eibach ERS springs. Also, the GC in the part number would seem to indicate Ground Control. The springs themselves should be red (I believe) and say Eibach in white right on them. Ground Control sleeves should be easy to spot because they lock with a hex head bolt instead of two rings locked together.

Now that I've helped you, let me see if you can help me. I am trying to import a set of TRD Sports M sideskirts for the old whip. From what I have found, you seem like a man who knows how to source them.

Sports M stuff is pretty rare Jesse, but I know a couple of guys in my club who have them; if I can get the *japanese* part no. the importer who got the centre consoles should be able to get them too.

Warning: *they will NOT be cheap*: let alone the parts, 2*shipping, AND, dollar to sterling conversion is horrific at the moment (for you. For us, it's 30% off anything American!)

The list price on these are 34,000 yen each. I'm trying to find a US importer of these besides Fizz Autosports, or perhaps a member from this forum in Japan. So far I only know of UK people who can source these. I'd be interested in at least a price, perhaps a 3rd party deal where they could be shipped to the US.

Oh, and I can't post at Celica Club UK ever since they started charging for memberships :wtc:
