Does anyone know if we can put replacements in? Or is the crank all weird?

They are nothing special, the 1ZZ and 2ZZ engines are just internal combustion engines.

Of course you can't just run out and get any old crank pistons and rods. RIght now you would have to get custom made cranks, pistons and rods.

With minimal adapting the 1ZZ crank can be fitted into the 2ZZ block to yield a longer stroke 2ZZ.

You'd have to do some careful checking to see if the 1ZZ or 2ZZ rods worked, or if a custom lengh rod was required.

PS: That is one of the most annoying signatures I've seen. do us all a favor and get rid of it.
