i have a 2000 gt-s 6 speed and i know it is supposed to have the fual cut off at 8300 but mine does it at 8100. i bought my car used with 18,000 miles. could the previous owner have brought it into the dealer and they lowered it? is there anyway i can change it back?

Could be that the tach is a little off.

Tachs are often off a bit on the Celica. That's been discussed here before. And the cam switchover is often different. Is your cam switchover around 6K and not 6200?

no, it's at 6200 rpm
