You have to get some VW keys or use some filed down Pioneer keys. File them down where the bump is if you still have the keys from your old 9300. Insert them in the two slots on the sides of the radio. There might be two little black "gates" hiding the slots. Slide them in slow and push them to the outside you should feel some resistance. The resistance would be you depressing the latches. You are probably going to need that friend to help you wiggle it out.
Hope this helps. :D

he is talking about the release keys that you use to disengage the side tabs that hold the radio into the mounting sleeve. Filing down a set of Pioneer keys works sometimes but if you bend the clip on the VW radio the wrong way you can seriously **** yourself. I had it happen once and spent 35 minutes trying to get it out. Track down a snap on dealer and buy a set of keys, they are like 5 bucks. BTW if your friends factory radio is a double din, the car will have to be rewired as there is no harness for it.
