I don't know if it's just me but I keep getting a cheap feeling when I'm driving my Celi.
THe reason is that something in the front engine compartment seems to be shaking when I go over bumpy surfaces at around 15mph.
It sounds like a plastic container of some sort like an airfilter box that is being shaken.

is your cai hitting the plastic wheel well?

my cai is out of the car right now.
the sound happened after they installed the belt tensioner.
I dont know if there is any connection.
But it is from the passenger front area.

You are not alone. I hate the noise.
I'm planning to spray sound damping material all over my car after I remove all the panels. And put 80 sq. ft of dynomat extreme on the bodypanels to get rid of those annoying ass noise.

Actually, it's not a tool. It sounds like something big. I can't seem to pin point.

you are exactly right. it's a clanking sound.
I noticed today it's also a gurgling sound. Could it possibly be just the gurgle of the coolant. Have your dealer check out the coolant gurgle.

is it possible that the front suspension and or axles are touching the plastic cover on the bottom of the car? it actually makes sense because when you go over a bump, the control arm shifts to one site to apply pressure to the other wheel.

my knocking sound seems to be coming from the driverside suspension area......
my noise sounds like (use imagination) as if my whole strut/spring assembly and lower TRD sportivo swaybar is about ready to come out......
but like i said before..... everything is tight and secured so it really really bothers me and the toyota service tech people.....
we don't know what the hell it is !! -but the car drives absolutly fine still......

Mine, different from DJTOy comes from the right passenger side toward the front. I took mine for a drive today, there was definitley a plastic panel sound aside from the gurgle.

Yea most people can tell the difference when sound is coming from behind them or in front of them, unless they have some jacked up ears.
well it sounded like it was in the front ... i dont know if it echoed up there or somethin.
sorry about my weird post just thought you check.:wiggle:
