if anyone has 18in rims with a TRD spring drop could you post some pics? I'm gonna get coils eventually, but I figure if the TRD springs look alright I'll go with them for now.

I would just use my stock struts. it would be the same drop as that right?

i dont think the struts themselves lower it any...i suggest getting the TRD shocks too though just to save you money in the long run

I don't know if that would save my money in the long run. I only drive like 9K a year so I think my stock struts would hold up for a few more years with the lowering springs on. I have like 18K on the car now. but I could be wrong

yeh if this is just a weekend car or something and you barely drive it then you should be fine, but the TRD ones will make your car ride more comfortably and handle noticeably better from what I have heard

thanks for the info. do you think it'll be enough drop to make my 18s look alright?

Look at the pics I posted above and decide for yourself. It's your car, so be comfortable with making your own decisions regarding it.

I know. there's two different kinds of rims in each pic. are the top ones 18s and the bottoms 17s?

Both are 18s. Again, the rims you choose are up to you.

I already have rims. they just look out of place without a drop.

I say go for it then. I would recommend 225/40/18 tires though to fill up the wheel gap a bit more.

Here's mine,
215/35/18's on TRD Sportivo (hence TRD springs)
It's a pretty mild drop, 0.75" roughly
