That is yhe little metal flap in your tank opening.

Just wondering what would come out of this little investigation.....

i bought my new '02 gt in late september. And the first time i filled it wish gas i was surprised that there was no metel flap! Its just a hole. So maybe its something with the car year. Cause i noticed that people that said they had it had like a 2000 model celi. Maybe they took them out for 02? or hell, maybe 01. i'd like to know myself

I have an 00 GTS, I don't have a metal flap.
