tire pressures on 215/35/18 paradas (auto-x)

Ok, so I've been auto-xing w/my 18's since some jackass decided to jack my stock rims from my house a couple weeks ago.

I was running 40psi front 36 rear, and after the auto-x, I noticed that there was a bit of roll onto the sidewalls on the front.
Should I be running a higher tire pressure on the front?

I know that manufacturer specs for the car is like 34-36psi or something, but 205/50/16's max press is usually around 44 where my paradas max out at about 50ish.

anyone got any insight on this?

What do the sidewalls post as the max pressure? I'd max the pressure before the event and let air out after a run. This way, you can find out what works best for you. It's a personal preference thing. :)

Oops, almost forgot, when I ran my Paradas at an event, I was running like 45psi F and 35 R. I could be 2-4 lbs off, but that's about the pressures I was running. :) Since they were hot, 2 driver car, they responded better than I expected. :)

are your 17" paradas 45max? or 50 max?

Not sure what my 17" max pressure is, but if I got off my lazy arse and went into the garage, I could tell you, but I'm lazy right now, so you'll have to find out tomorrow, if I remember!! haha! :) :lol:

I always ran my Kumho 712s at 45+ in front (and under 30 in back) for the autox. i once messed up with an industrial strength compressor and pumed one up to 65 psi. It didn't blow out, and has survived another 8k miles since.

Now that I think about it, though, I do have a whump sound from one of the tires on that side of the car, and they're in perfect balance (I watched the tech balance them, so I'm sure) so maybe I did damage a tire that day, and it's just now become detectable.....
