1) remove spare tire
2) if you don't have an exhaust, unbolt your stock exhaust
3) lower tire pressure in front to ~22psi, and raise back tires to ~40psi
4) do not worry about R/T, just worry on getting a good launch/run
5) slip the clutch at ~5000rpm, when you feel the tires grab, dump the clutch completely and floor it. this is the generic launch method. you can experiment however you want. but launching over 4500 is preferred for the track.
6) shift as quick as you can (don't bother powershifting) right before fuel cutoff (8300rpm). if you have trouble landing the 1->2 shift, slipping the clutch a little helps, don't do this too much!
7) the entire purpose is to have fun. as long as you get a time you can show off, have fun. if you don't, you suck, keep practicing until you do get that time.
