I don't think they ever released pics of the engine bay. I have never seen them. Contact RMM and see if they have any. That's the only thing I can think of. ;)

Well, I have the mag (C&D), and it does have a pic of the engine bay. The bay must've been totally stripped. Motor is all the way in the back, tubes and what looks like bags are all over the place. 500HP though. I'd scan it and send it to ya, but I don't know of anywhere to host the picture, and I don't know your email addy. If no one else responds to you, hopefully I will be on here in the very near future to help you out.

Since I wasn't tired (until now) I fired me up a wedshots, com account. So hopefully here it is:

Now, where are my TRD performance parts... for free...?

Well, so much for it coming up in the message, but the link should work. I've got a nice full size pic on there. If you need more from the article, let me know.

bo.. i think the RMM Celica was on a pre 2000 chassis wasnt it?? I dont think they even used the chassis from a 2000 in that car..

Larry is right. I think they used the all-trac chassis. The ultimate Celica is AWD.

Yeah, they just put the new celica body on the old chassis. That was a lot easier for them then trying to modify the current celica to hold the old celica's engine and drive train(if it's even possable). So that is litterally a 6th gen Celica with a 7th gen "body kit". Pretty lame if you ask me...

yeah i know, they could of kept the gts engine put a turbo or supercharged in it and would of ran better than a 13.8 1/4 mile or whatever it was.

Then why do people on this board talk so much about it? I thought it was a pretty ugly kit from the front. The performace was impressive though.
Do you sleep?

no, i work at night :)
btw, most people on this board hate the car becuase of the simple fact that it has nothing to do with the new celica other then the body which is BS.. performance wise its ok.. ive seen better.. I would have been much more impressed if they worked a 2zz and made it AWD.. that woulda been nice :)
It has 500bhp@8000rpm and 340lb ft@5500rpm
339bhp/ton.
And 185mph top speed.
I have a couple of pics of the inside and engine bay but do not know where to upload them.

I guess I have to go read the article again, but if it is just a new Celica body, why is the interior exactly the same as the new Celica?

You sure? I read the article last night, and I got the impression that it is a GT4 powertrain stuffed into the 7th gen. They commented on how it wasn't easy getting the AWD in a FWD car, and removing the back seats for the fuel cell. It's not just 7th gen boday panels, I think it's everything except the powertrain.

LD could be right. The GT4 was available in the 6th gens in Japan. Rod Millen had full access to all of TRD's resources when they made that car.

AFAICU the All-Trac system was installed in a celica GTS. Here is the complete article from Auto car.
