Were there any changes for the sticker/windshield pack for the Tour and Pro? I'm going to run the Tour in San Diego and Pro in Irvine and want to know how much extra sheets of magnets to bring.
Any holdover stickers from last year?

There is a different windshield banner. The one being use in Florida just says The TireRack but at the Cendiv roundtable (last November) we were shown what was supposed to be the new banner, it says TireRack/SCCA and is a die cut not a tint. CenDiv is having a meeting March 2nd at the Tirerack. Howard will be there so I hope to get the "real" answer, we have also been told there will be banners available for us to take with us.
My custom tirerack.COM die cut has been on the car for 1 1/2 years, showing no signs of wear.

The Peavey sticker is new too -- a nice, hideously gaudy yellow. They actually debuted at the 2001 Nationals, but a lot of people didn't use them there.

I thought Peavey was a Pro only thing.
Note: if your bringing magnetic material to mount stickers don't trust the size stated

Just call tire rack and ask for angie(ext. 258), she will send one to you if you are only a good driver and deserve it. (joking!)
They are White(my car is white!) with no background, so no color choice.
You are welcome

When I tried to pull them off my car last weekend after the Pro, the glue stayed on the car while the sticker itself (now completely glueless) came off. As soon as I realized that I'd need something like bug&tar remover to get the residue off, I left the stupid things on.

ok guys, I got that the Peavey stickers look bad etc., but, seeing as how I've not run one of these events before, can you guys just gimme an estimate of about how much magnetic material I'll need for the stickers? gracias.

I'd have at least 2' x 2' of sheet ready.

I got the tire rack one in advance and put it on clear static film. goes on and off easily. (only problem was the car wash and windshield wipers took it off) We already have out team windshield banner on so I didn't want to stick it on directly or over ours.
There will be a large SCCA nose decal required by the next event.
TR protested it on the windshield. There was indication of TR side stickers as well but evidently they were dropped.
I'll try to remember to measure all my stickers. If you've never done a ntionals before, you are required to have (purchase) an SCCA sticker, a National tour/prosolo sticker, and will be given a peavey and racing electronics sticker for each side of the car. If you are expecting to try for contingency money, you'll also need the required stickers for whatever tire brand you're using.

Do they have Pep Boys or Cooper stickers? Do they have a contigency program? Like maybe a free set of valve caps for a win. With all the money Keath has been spending on mods, that might be what we have to run on at the Petersburg Pro!

Nose sticker? So SCCA wants to take away our hood too?
Our nose is not magnetic, the hood is but that's where my Hoosier sticker goes.
I sure hope Howard enlighten's us at the Cendiv meeting (at TireRack) this Saturday.

Yeah, let us know what Howard says. I remember when BFG required a windshield banner in addition to the side stickers... if they were still in the game, I wonder how we'd have to compromise the two windshield banners....
At least the hood of my car is magnetic....

Ok The Tire Banner supplied at the Pro and Tour is the one we will be running this year. We will also be required to put a SCCA sticker somewhere on the nose of the car, Hood, Bumper, Grill...etc, just some place that can be seen by a camera. This sticker will not be huge, it will be the same size as the current Solo2 sticker we run on the side. What it will say has not be determined yet but Howard is leaning toward the old SCCA Solo Events sticker (the one we ran before the Solo2 sticker)
