HeyI did a search and found very limited responses to the question of which turbo timer is best. It is my opinion, thanks to the posts I was able to find that the Blitz is a very nice unit. I would like to get a boost controller but I have no real knowledge on this type stuff. I had been stuck on N/A cars until my wife got the SRT yesterday. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA Brad

any will do.. u get a turbo timer for the main purpose of keeping the car on for a certain amount of time after u remove key from ignition.. turbo timers dont give u extra power.. but if u want to spend a lot of money on the most expensive one.. thers no problem with that.. but id use some of the extra dollars for somethign else..

I have heard about the Apexi and the price is pretty good. Are there any other features that I should look out for? Or do they just keep the car idleing so it can cool down? I know what there main purpose is but do any of them offer anything to make them better than the others? Thank's for the input guy's.

Get one with a boost sensor that will warn you when you reach a preset boost level. Also get one that will automatically set the run time depending on how hard you pushed the car.

it doesnt matter at all which one you get
my HKS one does the job and it looks cool too :)
for boost controllers, get either the Apexi AVC-R or any of the GReddy ones (A, B, B-II, or E-01)
Blitz makes one that acts as a boost gauge as well as a turbo timer. 2 for the price of one ! ! ! ! !

I think its all about personal preference here and how much you want to spend. Personally Im a Greddy guy which is why I had greddy gauges, profec B boost controller and turbo timer.

yes to exactly wat larry said.. and i myself favor Greddy.. it seems to be a DSM thing.. go figure.. greddy's ish seems to be a lil cheaper than the rest.. yet retain great features comparable to the competition..
i wouldnt even rely on a built in boost gauge of a turbo timer.. thats why u get gauges :)

The main reason I purchased it is because it displays 02 voltages and that info can be used for tuning.

In all honesty I wouldnt use any of these other featured some of these turbo timers include. Some show boost, you should have a real boost gauge anyway, some show o2 values, you should have a wideband in your car or EGT gauge so these do not matter. Once again, just my opinion :)

Just get anything. There are many different make but all doing the same function, and turbo timer purpose is so you do not have to sit in the car and look at it. Thus spending alot of money to buy one so that it looks good pretty much wasting money.

If you have the cash to drop get the World Electronics Total Boost Controller. An awesome boost controller plus built in turbo timer. Does everything for ya.

thats absolutely too much money for an ebc and tt.. ill spend 20 on a mbc.. and 50 on an tt.. the rest can go to a turbo upgrade... though it looks tight. and im sure the features are great.. but thats just overboard for a street car im sure.. or just braggin rights saying u got $$$

Well I would like to saty brand loyal, so the Greddy tt will probably be the choice. Added bonus the mopar/dsm connection! Oh yeah it's not going in the celi, I'm trying to build a 500whp neon! It can be done, I've seen the dyno's. I'll try to find them and post it :)

:werd: Wayyyy too much money for what it does.. I got the HKS due to it having a Plug-n-Play harness for my Wrx so I don't need to splice any wires :D

I may have to get rid of the celi after all :( just talked to insurance and I'll pay 150 on each car! That is just too damn much, and I have the lowest rating. These damn cars are just too damn fast and breakable!

Yea, thats when i used to roll deep :)
I have the apexi too, but have some trouble with getting a work around my stock alarm. It's not actually an alarm, but just locks doors and has an immobilizer.
Different accesoiries in European celica's I guess.
What harness do you guys use? My engine keeps running when turning from ignition mode -> accesoiry mode, but kills the engine when I go from accesoiry mode -> off mode.
Also, when the engine is running... i'm not able to lock the doors.
Do you guys think it's the immobiliser or factory alarm? I saw Vamp post something on the electronics forum, but it didn't help yet.
Here's a page I made on what I did:
http://home.zonnet.nl/jongbinghu/turbotimer/turbotimer.html
Would really appreciate if I can actually walk away and lock the doors.
