i dont have the trd bumper but from what i can tell i would prolly just use a hairdryer to heat it up and use fishing line to remove it

no it's not like the rear where it's glued on
it's connected to the grill by little metal posts, there is no glue involved

I've been considering removing mine too (emblem), but I just thought maybe it would look good painted black, or is this a bad idea?

well, it's is kinda a bad idea, if you worry about rock chips and stuff like that...OR...if your squeezing and have your purge valve close to the emblem. I painted mine with high temp metal paint (the emblem may look like plastic, but it's not, it's like a cheap pot metal). Anyway, I was squeezing and the extreme cold ended up freezing and chipping the paint off the emblem.
BTW, you can just break those rivets and use 3M emblem adhesive. It's not goin anywhere.

:werd: I would cut somebody's hand off to have one. volunteers? Preferably the owner of an auto GT. after all you really only need one hand.

yes there is, but there's no turning back once you do it. Break it off, like I did. No damage to the grill, only the emblem. :gap: It's only plastic.
And painting it black was what I was thinking initially, but I didn't feel like touching it up every couple of months, due to road debris.
