A grinding noise?

My celica GT auto 2002 has a grinding noise whenever i am stopped at a light or in park, has anyone else had this problems? it has about 35k miles on it, it shouldn't do this.. iit does this more on hotter days, and since i live in florida could it be my humidy?, i wouldn't think it would make a loud shaking grinding noise, but it does, and it does it often, if anyone can help, it would be appreciated

where is the grinding noice coming from? Engine? Brakes? WHeels? SUspension? Trunk area? that would help isolate the problem...

engine it comes from the engine, sorry about the specificity =[

Only grinding I ever got was gears grinding for not pushing the clutch all the was in. You have an auto though so all I can say is get it checked out because it's probably doing damage. You can pay $50 today or $500 tomorrow. Don't put it off, and post back when you find out what it is.

Grinding or rattling? Our valves are pretty loud normally, and our belt tensioners are loud when they break (fairly often).
