Momo Cobra shift knob install help!

hi.......this is a question to all of you guys with MOMO shift knobs!!

i bought a Momo shift knob from a guy off here.......it came with everything but the rubber inserts!! do i really need to rubber inserts to install the shift knob? what does that rubber insert do? will there be any drawbacks from installing the shift knob without the rubber insert?

the rubber inserts seem to make the shift knob tighter around the shifter. so it wont wobble around as much. it should be fine if u just tighten the hex wrenches down.

are you goign to make the shift boot lower? i want to, but i dont know how to take out that white plastic piece.

you just have to pull it off. you really need to use some elbow grease. maybe throw on a leather glove and just pull.

I have a MOMO Raptor shift knob and one of the hex screw holes is stripped, so now i'm left with only two. Does anyone know how i could fix it?
