Well, I already have a pretty tricked out Chrysler Sebring coupe.. Problem is, they don't go fast.. My GF just bought a 2000 GT-S and that is going to be my SPEED project.. She is going to buy the LOOK GOOD parts, I'm gonna buy the SPEED parts.. :) I have a few questions. (I hope I don't get kicked on by a few of these guys around here, I see how they treat the NEWBIES.. NOT COOL)
Anyways, First
Does anyone have the INTELLIGLOW needles package with the LCD package ??? I don't know how it could work. I have the NEEDLES for my car and they are BAD!
second.
Since this is the GT-S, I know that the BORE and STROKE and larger, I know that the head is slightly diffrent, what about the rest of it?? Can I order a intake for a GT and have it fit a GT-S? same with the exhaust??
third.
Short Throw Shifter, Where can I get a decent one besides that UGLY OBX one?? something to put an aftermarket knob on....
fourth...
What is the best exhaust set up?? what kinda gains expected? I'm having a hard time finding headers too...
Fifth and last...
What other performance get-ups are there? I see people add the S-FAC. thats nice.. Is there a turbo kit, supercharge kit available yet? I see alot of people talking about it..
In other words, what can I do to drop the 1/4'mile times!
Thanks for ANY answers you can answer... I really hope I get to interact with some of ya!
Oh yeah, I'm a proud member of WWW.ASOG.NET That is the Avenger/Sebring owners group...

welcome to the board, the intake and exhaust need to be for the gt-s, the were made to go with the vvtl-i. With a short throw there are several nice ones, B&M, TRD, and a new that just came out TSM? Your exhaust depends on your taste, TRD has a nice setup, deep sound not to loud, kazuma is loud also not intended for street use, look at the sponsor pages for more setups. and as of right now there is no header for the gt-s. Blitz is in the process of getting a supercharger ready for the gt-s, but the high compression makes it difficult, you'll be looking at changing the pistons or a thicker head gasket. More mods include Toms lightened flywheel, ACT, TRD, or other preformance clutch disk and a LSD. hope this helps out.

KiD Fury, thats a lot of questions. Let me try to answer at least some of them.
First off, the GTS engine has a larger bore size, but a SHORTER stroke than the GT engine. This is because of the GTS's really high redline. I don't know if a GT manifold would fit a GTS engine, it has been discussed several times but no one has ever done it. The best way to find out is to buy a GT gasket and take your manifold off to see if the gaskets line up the same. If they do, you should be able to swap manifolds.
As far as short shifters are concerned, B&M makes the one that I have and I would reccomend it. You can order a B&M SS, as well as a lot of other great performance parts for the Celica from Titan motor sports.
TITAN MOTORSPORTS (http://www.ecarshops.com/Merchant/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=TM&Category_Code=carspec-celica2k-clutch)
Some of the more popular exhausts for the Celica include TRD, Blitz NUR spec, and Tanabe Racing medalion. Some of the other exhausts that are out there, but not as popular are the Apex-i N1, Borla, Greddy, Thermal, Kazuma, and HKS. My personal opinion is that the TRD and the Blitz are the best exhausts for the Celica. If you want good power and nice deep tone, get the TRD(that's what I have). If you want something a little louder(the TRD is kind of quiet when compaired to other aftermarket exhuasts), get the Blitz. Another exhaust that is out there is the Veilside titanium exhaust. As far as I know, no one has it yet, but it's main advantage is that the titanium will give you a pretty decent reduction in weight. It's really expensive though.
I don't think that there are any aftermarket headers for the GTS. To be honest, the GTS doesn't really need an aftermarket header. The factory header is extremely agressive, and I don't think that its design can be improved upon much. You should expect to get a peak hp gain of around 7 or 8 from an exhaust.
One big performance mod you can do is a different intake. You should look into the Injen cold air intake and the AEM cold air intake. If you want to go for a short ram, I would highly reccomend the Blitz SUS(thats what I have). Good drivers with just an intake and an exhuast can drop their 1/4 mile times from around 15 sec. to around 14.4 sec.
Another huge thing you can modify is your transmition. You should definatley look into getting a limited slip differential installed, it makes a world of difference, especially on a front wheel drive car where you really suffer for traction. You should look into upgrading your clutch and installing a light weight flywheel. One popular combo for this is the TRD clutch, TOMs flywheel, and TRD LSD(thats what I have). Another rout you can take that I would reccomend is getting the Blitz Active clutch(what I wish I had). The Blitz Active clutch comes with a light flywheel and a twin plate clutch. I would still recomend getting a TRD LSD though, I think that it is the best unit out there.
Some other things.
You should get a nice gain from installing an after market pulley set. Light weight wheels will make a difference. Better tires will make a difference. Suspention upgrades will make a huge difference(the Tein coilover suspention is highley reccomended). You could look into getting a NOS system, the GTS holds a 50 shot just fine, some people are using 75 shots. A supercharger is on the way soon from Blitz. Several turbo's are said to be in the works.
Check our the link I posted. Pretty much all this stuff is available on that site.

Thanks guys, I have looked into the PULLEY set up. I have an underdrive pulley on my Sebring and it works pretty good... Underdrives all the accessories 25%... The Butt-O-Meter can tell a difference..
I've been looking at the exhausts and I think I like the Greddy EVO set up... Alittle pricey but nice..
never thought about a LSD though... Might have to look into that... The B&M shorty is the way I'm going to go I think.. Along with a lightened FlyWheel... Hmmmm...
But, Will a GT intake fit a GT-S?? I keep seeing listing for the GT intakes but not for the GT-S?? The engines are still set up the same right?

KiD Fury, I don't necessaraly think that the different intakes are interchangeable. The reason I say that is because when I look at the listings, I always see that they offer an intake for both, the GT and the GTS. If the intakes were 100% identical, it seems like they would only list it as an intake for the 2000+ Celica, not for the 2000+ Celica GT and the 2000+ Celica GTS.
Here is a link that offers intakes for both, the GT and the GTS. This link has the Injen CAI, AEM CAI, and Blitz SUS. Honestly, if you are going to get an intake, you really should get one of these three intakes, they are the best you can get for the Celica.
