I was racing a v6 stang and I had a hard time shifting into 2nd. It has been happening more and more often. Am I just missing cuz of the shift gates or could this be happening b/c of 2nd gear syncro problem? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks fellas. Btw, I wasn't power shifting, we were at a light and I floored it all the way to redline and then shifted but it felt like there was a wall there blocking me. I have a GTS with a TRM and AEM CAI.

Sounds like you're just hitting the reverse gate to the left of the 1-2 gates. I did this a couple times when I first had the car and was shifting too quick. I repositioned my arm so it was more in line with the shift gates and tried to put a little less pressure on the right side of the shifter when going from 1 to 2.

Usually, if you pull directly back quickly with just a little bit of pressure to keep it in the 1-2 gates you won't have to worry about hitting the reverse gate or putting it into 4th.

It might be the shifter springs getting looser as you drive it more. I haven't had this problem, but considering the TSB on the springs you might want to get it checked out. It shouldn't hurt to get them replaced.

Thanks for the tip Novus. I'm thinking I'm pulling to the left alittle too much and hitting the reverse gate too. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem b4. Anyways, thanks for the tip. You too GTS LAID :D
