Finally, ordered my Wing!

After months of searching, I finally made my move and ordered my TRD style wing from a company up in Canada. Thanks to those who gave me input on their wings. I'll keep you guys posted on this project and give you a full review.

I know a place that can get you the TRD Style wing w/ LED (VIS Techno R) for $300.00 shipped in the U.S.

The only downside to this company is that is that they have $hitty customer service.

Mine took about 3 months to receive and I e-mailed him at least 9 times and out of that 9 got only 1 reply back.

If anyone is intrested, I'll post up the site of e-mail you the link.

BTW, product was quality though!

He states that the wing retails for at 350.00. He also says it is a TRD style wing. He doesn't say the wing is the actual TRD wing and also, the real TRD wings were selling for alot more than 350.00. well, i finally got a new blade, but the one they sent me mightve been for the eclipse (actually i doubt it, was prolly a defect) or something happened because it was i lil bit longer than the one that cracked. it was real minor, but that slight difference made it impossible to bolt down. then i picked up the cracked one, and mounted it. you could bolt it down, but the fitment was absolutely horrible. i had to struggle just to bolt it in the first place, and i was to scared to tighten it because you could clearly see it was wider than it should be. plus on the front part of the base, when i screwed one of the bolts, it mustve been too long because before i even tightened it, it started to poke through the top and cracked the base.i like wings west and all, but i cant be waiting another couple months for them to re-tool another wing. its just frustrating. *note this wing would prolly be perfect if you drilled new holes, but the whole point of buying this spoiler was so i didnt have to drill new ones...

As long as you got a good body shop they should be able to fix the crappy quality i.e. knock off quality.

Looks like that guy on Ebay is ripping those people off. Not only does it need repainting, its used. 400 bucks is a little steep for that.

Ya, the pics on their website, I've seen on other websites before. When you think about it, why bother taking new pics if your copying someone else's kit anyway. There's no way to tell it's a knock off kit by just looking at the pics, you have to see the actual product in your hands. I don't want everyone jumping on the REVTEC bandwagon until I give you guys my honest opinion about the wing. Remember what happened to the new style Altezza lights that came out a while back, everyone got excited about this new tailamp assembly and they turned out to be a piece of crap! so hold on folks, don't jump on the bandwagon too soon, not just yet.

one thing im scared about is the mounting of this wing. instead of the two stock holes, there's an additional two holes you need to drill to accomodate the bolts (total of 4 each side). plus the hole for LED wiring. i dont mind drilling the holes, it's just switching back to stock will be a problem because i'll have two extra holes! i know when i wanna sell my car/trade-in, not too many people/dealers are gonna want to buy the car with the wing on it...and they really wont want the car with holes in the hatch. http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/frown.gif what to do<IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm34.gif" border=0>

Especially if the wing cracks down the line, I'll have to put the stock one back on and having these additional holes on my car exposed like that will not be a pretty site. I was sure glad I didn't sell my stock spoiler when my WWest wing cracked, otherwise it would have looked ugly without a wing and just these holes and tabs exposed <IMG SRC="http://www.newcelica.org/ubb/smilies/cwm13.gif" border=0>. I will keep my stock wing for a while, just for piece of mind.
