**My New R/C RX-8!! (pics)**

Man...after archangel showed us Jada Toys' new R/C cars, I had to have an RX-8. I was very tempted to get a Celica, but I already got the real thing. :gap: And I absolutely love the RX-8, and we don't get it in white here in the States, so I shelled out for this:

I stripped it of a LOT of useless stickers, some of which were actually bubbled up anyway b/c they couldn't curve around the surface. I think it's clean but I also left enough on to match the graphics on the hood (not removable on the hood). What do you think?

I'll be trying it out as soon as I get the 4 hr charge in. Can't wait!

Fun things arn't they:) I got the Celica at Walmart a couple of weeks ago.
First thing I did when I took it out of the box was take it apart and take the damn wing off.

I bought mine from Bananatoys.com. Cheapest price I found. It's only $45 plus $5.95 flat-rate shipping. They indicated USPS Priority for the $5.95, but I received it by FedEx for some reason. Either way was fine by me since they emailed me a tracking number, too.

Oh, btw, it's in California, so no tax if you're out of state (or, apparently, if you use an out of state credit card even if the item is being sent to California).

Right before I bought the RX8, it was sold out, but then back on again the next day. THe last time I checked, it's sold out again, but give them a call, I think they can arrange it for you.

Right now, the RX8's and the Supra are sold out, but both red and yellow Celicas are available.

THey are an amazon.com merchant, too, so they're trustworthy. I've order stuff from lots of amazon.com merchants, and I've NEVER had a problem. Besides the smaller selection of items, amazon.com and its merchants are a much better venue than ebay, i think. Sometimes better prices, too! Anyways, off topic.

I plan to have my celica till it dies (or until i get a 6spd then i'll keep that one till it dies). The sad part is that i have gotten alot more since then...i'll make an album one day :P but yeah...I work with wholesale and I usually get Jada toys at wholesale cost ;) We also get colors that walmart doesn't have etc....

Unfortunately, no. They only have the dark red and yellow RC Celicas for now. You couldn't even TRY swapping the bumpers on the non-RC Celicas with the RC ones, b/c the RC is 1:10 scale, while the biggest non-RC Celicas are 1:18 scale. Maybe if there was more interest?

Shoot! The prices just went up! I'm thinking it's cuz they keep running out of stock. The monkey with the shipping sign used to say $5.95 in the continental US. These things are apparently very popular!

I saw these babies for $65 in a local hobby store, so don't be surprised if you see prices around that. Actually, for an RC car, $65 is not that bad. Tyco RC's can easily hit $100 or more. Besides, it's a Celica! :gap:
