View Full Version : Newcelica.org's Injen Intake....
yes i wanted to know if the injen cold air intake on the store page of this site is the 3rd gen kind....
The reason i wanted to know is because i want to buy a Cold air intake but im worried about water slashing into it and hurting my engine....
My friend told me that Injen's Cold air intake (3rd Gen) is very good and wont let water get into the engine is that true?
Also what are the chances of my engine getting wrecked with this intake?
Also i almost forgot...I live in florida and here it rains 24-7! i mean seriously it rains everyday and there are puddles of water that my car sinks into and shoots water out of the sides as high as my car
would Cold air intake be a bad idea for florida?

hey, i live in daytona beach. ive had the injen cai from this site for over 4 months and i never have a problem. i live on beach side and its always flooded like how you said. just get a spalsh guard and you will have no problem.
From what i have heard you pouposly have to try to suck in water.
now i on the other hand am getting a short ram ... easy install and easy uninstall(taking it to toyota when somethin messes up)
:AF: . I have myself run into situations where i was like "wow if i had a cold air intake right now id be ****ed" I have in the past year been in water pretty high and couldnt aviod it ... that is without making carnage on the road lol. I mabe would switch over to a C.A.I later if need be but for right now the short ram would be it.

3rd gen. The design is slightly different from previous intakes.
The one larry sells on his site is 3rd gen for sure cuz i bought one and i've seen previous versions of INJEN.
As long as u watch them water puddle and all, u should be fine with the intake. I don't even have the shield and it rains a lot here..
