does anybody have a hyper voltage system on their car? I heard they were really good to buy if you have a lot of electronics in your car, but i wanted to see if anyone had any first-hand experience with these before I buy it.

i know that its supposed to help gain power by holding the charge from your batery to stabilize voltage. its supposed to help power loss from cars with a lot of electronics. They are supposed to be pretty easy to install and they are cheap, but i dont know what the results are from anyone putting them on a celica. check out www.sunautomobile.com they pretty much explain it all

If this is a higher output generator, then this would be required, only if the standard generator cannot keep up with the load. That is, the voltage at the battery is dropping below 13.8 VDC, with the engine running and the electronics squawking.
Also, nothing is for free. If this is a higher output generator and more output is required, that extra electricity comes from taking more power from the engine.

All it is is that silver/gold box that connects to the positive and negative leads of the battery. As SpeedNStylez said, it basically looks like a capacitor.
