View Full Version : How do you remove the rearview chromatic mirror?

I have the rearview chromatic mirror and I plan to trade my car into carmax and I wanted to take it off and put on a stock rearview mirror that I got from ebay. Anyone know how? TIA

He's not selling it, he's trading his auto in for a 6 speed and wants to put the mirror on the 6 speed when he gets it.

I am not sure if you can just put it on a celica that didn't come with that option? I know you need a special wiring harness. I know my mirror has a compass and a temp. display in which the sensor is located in the front bumper.

Its an accessory, you can probably get the parts from a dealer and even have them install it, not sure how much it would be though. Probably a lot.

yeah mine is located in the front bumper as well. I got the intructions from Pluto on how to uninstall it so i'll do it sometime soon and let you guys know how it goes.
