How did you seal them back together? will they fog up in future due moisture getting trap in there or not seal properly?

Nice! You should try Rustoleum Metallic Black if you want a dark gunmetal.Originally posted by 01 Spectra GT-S
How did you seal them back together? will they fog up in future due moisture getting trap in there or not seal properly? Ifyou heat them up and press them back together, there's a very, very small chance they will fog (1 in like 1000). I've done about 10 sets of lights (9 Celicas, 1 WRX), and only one set has fogged up.Originally posted by sleepy celica
silicone! also, that's a nice color for a blk celi. Good job. Using silicone, you'll never be able to open the lights again. If you really think it's necessary to add a sealant, get strip caulk. It doesn't dry and remains flexible, so if you ever need to open the lights again, you just heat them up and the caulk will become soft again.

I used clear silcone for my girl's 02 accord and it works great. To open it again, all i had to do is heat it up. I never took out the celi headlights before, but i wouldn't mind trying using that sealant you recommended. Blue Bomber, any particular brand we should use and where to buy? A link to the source would be great. Thanks

On red, yellow, and spec blue it looks great, especially with a CF hood and gunmetal/black rims. :)

Congrats on the new mod. I am going to be doing mine tomorrow as well because I am tired of the TRD headlight covers.

For some funny reason, I think my headlights came with black housings from the factory... I got a 03 celica gt btw, is that true or is my car a freak?

I painted mine yesterday, but didn't get them sealed perfectly. I found some moisure inside. What is the easiest fix for this?

Smaay

do it all over again....then use some sealer

So I need to reopen the light and dry it out. Then reseal it with sealer?

the oven works good to seal it there will be enough epoxy left IN the headlights.

i am gonna do em again in black on tues hopefully my wheels will be here by then then

the CF splitters will then be already in the mail.
