well i didn't hit anything. it was raining hard and i was on the freeway going about 65-75 and the car just started fishtailing and i caught it and thought it was ok but then it goes the other way an i turn the wheel and it starts doing 360's. there where no cars around me thank god but it turned me around and i hit this curb on the side of the freeway hard and blew out a tire. going up the curb and hill thing i tore off part of the underlip of the stock bumper(need to buy one of those now if anybody has one) and i need to buy a rear bumper also. everything else is ok and i wasn't hurt or anything. i missed a van parked on the side of the freeway by about 50 feet. if i hit that going 60 i dont know what would of happened. it was pretty crazy...

most important thing is that you're ok!
last year the same happend to me in the wood. the street was slippery and flew of the street with an 180 to the other side. that was so fast before i reacted i already stood still in the mud :)
glad that there was no tree, just a small pole besides the street.
but i think everybody has to make such experiences, as long as nobody will be hurt!

I would suggest that you get your suspension inspected just to be safe man...

Glad that you're okay, the car can be repaired, but when you get hurt... it sucks. That is why I hate driving in the rain, sometimes it feels like the rear end is about to go out when you hit some decent puddles on the freeway.

I did that in my '90 Laser, but it was snowing hard, and my tires were in bad shape. After it happened I got new tires the next day
:gap:
Glad to hear everything is ok Evil.

hydroplaning ownz j00!
j/k
what kind of tires are on your car, and how much tread is left.
sounds like you hydroplaned, and the rear swung out on you, were you in a slight turn, were you changing lanes?
kind of weird for the back end to break loose, its usually the front tires that will hydroplane,
more info plz
btw sorry to hear what happened

thats scary. i always thought FWD was easier to control
(compared to RWD). the same thing happened to my friend in his mustang doing 50mph. the main reason i beleve this is b/c i was once doing 110mph on the freeway in the rain around 3am and i turned (as the freeway curved) and "drifted" sideways a couple of lanes but was able to regain control when i let my foot off the gas.

im not sure if there was a pothole in the freeway or not but if there my insurance is going to sue them and get everything repaired. i need to go back there and see today but i need to take off my front bumper and i cant find a 10 anywhere.

car drives just like it did before. the funny thing is i had the 15" gt wheels up front and thats the one that banged the curb and blewout. my good wheels where on the back and they werent hurt at all.

Next time "don't" drive that fast while it is raining. I seen too any stupid drivers in car crashes, driving hella fast( for the conditions) in the rain and they are just asking for it. One thing you don't want to do is mess with mother nature cuz most of the time it wins.lol
But lucky you didn't hurt no one else and your OK! Just one lesson to be learned.
